FAQ's

We have gathered some of the most common questions we receive regarding the event and answered them here. This document may be updated as more common questions arise.

  • Do I have to provide my own tent for overnight camping at Peaceful Hills? Is there a glamping option or other full-service option?
Tent camping is only $10/person for the entire weekend at Gravel Revival. You must bring your own camping gear with you. Camping is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis in a large open, camping area. How do I snag the best camping spot? You arrive early on Friday and claim it. If you would like to have camping equipment provided for an additional charge, our friends at REI and Cumberland Transit can take care of all your camping needs. You can learn more about REI or Cumberland Transit by visiting their websites.
  • Will we be able to camp on Friday before the ride begins on Saturday? Also, may we camp on Sunday evening after the ride is over?
Yes, you are welcome to camp on Friday evening as part of the event. If you would like to camp Sunday evening, you will need to arrange that with the owner, Jennifer. We can put you in touch with her. We will host a shakeout ride and kick-off party on Friday evening and encourage you to attend. Your registration includes camping Friday (beginning at 12pm) - Sunday (checking out at 2pm). We will be shutting down the event following the Winery ride on Sunday so please keep in mind that there will be no food service or activities available at Base Camp on Sunday afternoon. Peaceful Hills requires all campers to be checked out by no later than 2:00PM Sunday afternoon.
  • I'm not interested in camping at Peaceful Hills. Does Gravel Revival partner with any local hotels or Airbnb’s in the area?
Yes, we have researched some additional lodging in the area including Nacome Retreat Center, local Airbnb’s, etc. Since this will be a busy weekend in Centerville, we suggest that you book any alternate accommodations as soon as possible! More information on accommodations can be found HERE.
  • Do you offer shuttles between the partner hotels and Peaceful Hills Retreat?
No, there will not be any shuttle services between off-site lodging accommodations. We will have some shuttle services within the event area to transport people between RV campground, Group campsites and the main event area.
  • Can we keep our bikes on site at Peaceful Hills Camp? Will there be a Bike Corral?
Everyone is welcome to leave their bikes overnight at Peaceful Hills near their tent, car, etc. We have found the bike community is very loyal and looks after each other. We cannot be responsible for unsecured bikes, however. We do recommend securing your bike overnight, just to be safe.
  • If I don't want to camp in a tent, may I just sleep in my car/ truck/ SUV?
Yes, of course. If you plan to stay overnight in a tent/car/truck you must pay $10/person for camping. If you have an RV, you must pay $20 for RV camping.
  • Do you have spaces for RVs or campers at Peaceful Hills? What kind of hookups and services are offered?
Yes! We will have an entire field dedicated to RV parking in close proximity to the event space. There will not be hookups available. We will have a port-a-potty available. It’s a short walk or bike ride to the event area but the road is not lit so you will need a headlamp in the evenings. We will have a shuttle service running between the field and the main event area.
  • Will there be breakfast available? Will there be coffee in the morning?
For those of you camping at Peaceful Hills, light breakfast snacks, courtesy of Trim Healthy Cafe in Centerville, as well as some fruit will be available to help get you fueled for the day on Saturday. Our Coffee Sponsor, BrassHorn Coffee Roasters, will be providing complimentary coffee on Saturday and Sunday morning. Tips and personal mugs are encouraged.
  • What are the food options each day? Where and what will be at the rest stops?
You can read all about the Gravel Revival food offerings for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on our Food/Drink page. We will have a food truck on Friday and most of the day/evening on Saturday, and at the winery on Sunday. Many of the rest stops will be fully-supported with fruit, nuts, energy snacks, water, electrolyte drink mix, sweet treats, etc. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink as well.
  • Are kids allowed to be a part of the Gravel Revival?
Absolutely! This is a family-friendly event. We will also be hosting a fun Kids Race/Run on Saturday. Additionally, there is a playground onsite with a lot of space to run around. There will be an opportunity to purchase kids meals at the food trucks and we will have complimentary water/soda available onsite. Please note: You are responsible for your children at all times.
  • What time does registration open on Friday, October 18th?
We will open our registration table for rider check-in at 2:00 PM at Peaceful Hills Retreat & Campground (390 American Way, Centerville, TN). Campers can check in beginning around 12PM.
  • I signed up just for the ride on Saturday, but I have now decided I would like to stay all weekend. Can I do that?
Any registered Gravel Revival 2024 participant may update their registration online through Thursday, October 17th. We are always happy to upgrade any registration for anyone who wants to join us for all three days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Please email Brenda at brenda@moabbikes.com if you would like to make this change. If you decide to change upon arrival, please contact a Volunteer at registration and we can take care of your camping fee.
  • What is the refund policy for Gravel Revival if I need to cancel?
After August 18, 2024 canceled registrations will not be refunded but can be transferred to someone else or saved for the 2025 event. BikeReg registration processing fees are always non-refundable.
  • Are e-Bikes allowed at Gravel Revival? What about recumbent bikes? How about trikes?
We believe that, "If you can pedal it, you can ride it!" And that certainly includes pedal-assist e-Bikes, recumbents, trikes, unicycles, etc.! We will have designated charging stations around Base Camp throughout the duration of the event where you will be able to charge your e-battery after riding. Please keep in mind that these are stations where participants charge ALL gear, so please be prepared to charge your own bike battery, if necessary. Please pedal at your own risk.
  • What volunteer opportunities are available for Gravel Revival? How do I sign up to volunteer?
We love our volunteers! They are truly the backbone of making this event successful. We have tons of positions in all sorts of roles leading up the event and over the course of the weekend. Please check out the many volunteer opportunities HERE and sign up today to help make this a true Revival for everyone!
  • What all is included exactly with my registration to Gravel Revival?
Entirely way too much great stuff to list here! Please click here to see the breakdown of all that's included with your registration.
  • When will the Gravel Revival 2024 jerseys be available for purchase?
We currently have a merino wool Gravel Revival jersey made by Giordana available for purchase on our registration page. Place your order by 8/30 to guarantee arrival before the event. We are working on a new Gravel Revival jersey for 2024 with Pearl Izumi. More details to come via our newsletter and on our social media pages.
