ROUTES
If you’ve ridden in Hickman County you know that routes are subject to change based on the road
conditions. We will not be revealing the exact routes until closer to the event. With whatever route you
choose you can expect to encounter a variety of gravel and terrain – from well-groomed gravel
to rutted out jeep trails; fast descents, inevitable creek crossings, and punch-you-in-the-gut climbs.
Some of that chert will hurt, but the post-ride meal, beverage and Strava kudos will
be worth it!
FRIDAY
Shakeout ride: TBD
SATURDAY
11mile: TBD
27 mile: TBD
43 mile: TBD
64 mile: TBD
100 mile: TBD
SUNDAY
Waterfall/Winery route: TBD
*IMPORTANT: The routes are self-navigated and for the most part, unmarked. All riders are asked to bring a
GPS unit or whatever tools necessary to navigate the course. As Gravel riding becomes more and more popular, it is
important for riders to learn proper skills to navigate and ride self-supported, especially in secluded areas
where a GPS signal may or may not be available. Cell phone signal has become increasingly better in Hickman
County, however if you are not using a navigation unit with GPS, we strongly recommend that you download
the Ride with GPS app, create an account, save and download the routes BEFORE you get to the campground
(just tap the dots to the right of the route name).
AWARDS/PRIZES
Gravel Revival was created as a way to bring the gravel community together. If you want to come out and race,
you can do that. If you just want to come out and ride, that's what we're all about!
Cash Prizes will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd place male/female finishers on the long routes.
Gift Cards/Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd place male/female/youth finishers on the medium/shorter routes.
We will reveal some of these prizes as we get closer to the event and they are finalized.
We have also added some additional categories for youth and tandem riders and para-athletes.
Additionally, all registered participants will be eligible to win some great door prizes from our Bike Retailers and
Sponsors on Saturday evening at "The HUB" (stay tuned for details)!
VOLUNTEERS
VOLUNTEERS ROCK & we need volunteers to make this event happen!
Volunteers will receive special swag & shout-out, free entry + 1 free meal, beverages and will be able to ride
Friday and Sunday but we ask that all volunteers be available to help with overall support of the event on
Saturday, Oct. 21. We will have a few volunteer opportunities that allow you to still do the main event.
If you have family or friends that would like to join you for the event but do not want to ride,
this a perfect opportunity! If you are a school group or need volunteer hours,
this will be a fun way to see what these events are all about!
CLICK HERE to sign up for a Volunteer slot.
NON-PARTICIPANTS/DOGS
If you have friends/family members that want to join you but don’t want to ride, they are welcome
to register as a non-participant. Hiking trails, a playground and there will be plenty of space to run around
and play games. Well-behaved dogs on leashes will be allowed. (No pets allowed in cabin or cottage).
We do ask that you PLEASE clean up after your dog. Proper/safe arrangements must be made for your pooch
while you are out riding. We recommend bringing camp chairs, rain gear, bug spray, sunscreen, etc.
Whether you are a beginner and ready to see what this Gravel riding is all about or looking for a way to
have fun and really challenge yourself - we will have something for everyone.
SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY
Gravel riding is all about community. This year, in an added effort to support our local community
we have selected a few organizations/projects that we will be partnering with for this year's Gravel Revival.
$5 of each ticket will be donated to the selection of your choice. If an organization is not selected,
we will spread out the donations evenly. We will also add an option to make an additional donation to the
organization/project of your choice with your registration. Learn more about the organizations below:
1. Can'd Aid (www.candaid.org) - they rally volunteers to distribute water, provide access
& opportunities for underserved youth to experience music, art & the outdoors.
2. NICA - Middle TN (www.tennesseemtb.org) - They work to establish & maintain safe,
quality high school & middle school mountain bike programs.
3. Smith Park MTB Trails - (www.brentwoodmtb.com) - A project to help build new
mountain bike trails at Smith Park in Brentwood, TN.
4. Urban Bicycle Food Ministry (www.ubfmnash.org) - a local nonprofit in Nashville
